"BUM-BARASH" Contest

From 22.06.2012 to 31.08.2012 we hold the contest "Barash Boom" by project "my farm". 

Terms: Please send us your sheep in the form of drawings, photographs, hand-made products in any material to the e-mail: tumarartsalon@mail.ru or bring the product yourself up to 31 August to Art Salon "TUMAR" Isanova str.80, Bishkek, 720001, Kyrgyz Republic. 

All materials will be posted on the TUMAR ART Facebook page. The winner will be, the one who will get more "Like". 

Prizes:

1st place- GIFT certificate for 10,000 som 

2nd Place - Gift certificate for 5,000 som 

3rd place - Gift certificate for 3,000 som.

Why do we hold this contest? 

We would like to pay attention to these animals. 

Sheep provide a greater variety of products than other pets. This is - wool, lambskin, sheepskin and fur skin coat, meat and fat. In addition, the sheep is unpretentious animals. They are very hardy, agile and extremely well adapted to grazing on the hillsides, in ravines, gullies, semi-deserts, i.e., in places that are inaccessible to other types of livestock. 

In addition to meat, sheep gives wonderful wool. It is suitable for manufacture of fabrics and home knitting, and making irreplaceable felt footwear of it. Wool products are durable, warm and hygienic. Density of wool in sheep depends on breed, feeding. And there lot benefits of lanolin in wool we can talk about.

Sheep’s been an integral part of everyday life for centuries of Kyrgyz people and up to modern times are an important part of our identities. Respect the sheep! It's not stupid animals - its breadwinners.
